General Information

C-TRAN has been providing mobility options for the residents of Clark County for 25 years. With 27 bus routes, C-VAN curb-to-curb service for people who cannot access regular route service, a Bike & Bus program and much more, C-TRAN has a transportation solution for just about anyone.  C-TRAN serves Vancouver and its Urban Growth Boundary as well as provide Express service to downtown Portland, Marquam Hill and Lloyd District. 27 transit routes operate to serve the residents of its service area. C-TRAN provided over seven million passenger trips in 2004.

C-TRAN's Board of Directors is comprised of elected officials from various city and county governmental offices.The nine members consist of:

  • all three Clark County Commissioners;
  • three representatives from the Vancouver City Council; and
  • one representative each from the Camas/Washougal, Battle Ground/Yacolt, and Ridgefield/La Center city councils.

  • Citizens can attend meetings surrounding transportation issues presented by various groups in the county.

Notes of Special Interest

  • The Clark County Public Transportation Area (PTBA) has assets in excess of liabilities at the $100 million level.
  • C-Tran had a farebox recovery rate for the fixed routes in 2006 of about 23 percent. Only 23 percent of the operating cost is covered by fares on those routes.
