Incorporation: Clark County Fire and Rescue came into being when Fire Districts 11 and 12 merged on February 1, 2008.

Voting District: Ridgefield, Battle Ground, and La Center.

Square Miles: 120.

Engagement Opportunities

  • Fire Commissioners meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month. These meetings are open to the public.

Clark County Fire & Rescue is committed to serving this community by providing education and fire prevention programs. Listed below are just a few of the programs and services provided at no cost to residents.

  • Child Safety Seat Inspections: Clark County Fire & Rescue conducts Certified Passenger Safety Technicians to check child safety seats for safety and proper installation.
  • Address Signs: In the event of an emergency, proper addressing will help emergency crews come to your aid more quickly. Clark County Fire & Rescue provides reflective signs with large numbers to residents.
  • Engine/Station Tours: Visit a local fire station or have one of Clark County Fire & Rescue’s engine crews come to your location. Tours last approximately 20 minutes and include a brief fire safety presentation followed by viewing a fire engine and firefighting equipment, as well as talking to the firefighters about their job.
  • Preschool Safety Kits: To address the fire safety needs of preschoolers, Clark County Fire & Rescue has a fire safety kit program specifically designed for children between the ages of three and five. Kits include child-size turnout gear as well as a variety of toys, games and books to help the children you care for learn fire safe practices.
  • Smoke Alarms: Clark County Fire & Rescue will provide and install smoke alarms in an owner occupied home if the homeowner is a senior citizen, disabled, or living on a low income.
