Cities & TownsLocated in central Clark County, Battle Ground is one of the fastest-growing communities in Southwest Washington. The City of Camas, in southeast Clark County, is the third-largest city in the county, and has become a player in the locating and siting of international companies. Located in northwest Clark County, La Center was once a center of trade along the Lewis River. Located in western Clark County, Ridgefield is a gateway to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, and a key entry point to the Columbia River. Located in southwest Clark County along the Columbia River, Vancouver is Washington state's fourth-largest city. Vancouver is the county seat for Clark County. Located in southeast Clark County, next to Camas, Washougal is a major gateway to the Columbia River Gorge and characterized by viewpoints, natural attractions, and services for visitors. Located on the north border of Clark County, mostly in Cowlitz County, but with a number of residents living in Clark County, Woodland is the gateway to the Lewis River Valley and is globally known as a hotspot for fishing. Located in north Clark County, Yacolt was approached by the1902 "Yacolt Burn", the worst forest fire in Washington history. The fire came close enough to blister paint on the town's 15 buildings. |
